About Dr. Tannyhill

HOW WOULD YOU BEST SUMMARIZE YOUR TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY?
Giving focused attention to patients’ needs, empowering patients with a thorough understanding of treatment options, and extending compassionate care.

WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU WHEN IT COMES TO WORKING WITH REFERRING DOCTORS?
The care that their patients receive in my office and the outcomes that we achieve by working together as a team.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE SETS YOU APART?
Quality patient care and having dual degrees. As both a physician and an oral surgeon, I’m able to comprehensively treat a wide-range of complex oral conditions–where your doctor trained really matters!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CHAIR-SIDE STYLE?
Friendly and involved. I care deeply about my patients’ experience in our office and the success of their surgical treatment. I want them to fully understand their planned surgery and be a participant in a successful outcome.

WHAT INNOVATION HAS REALLY CHANGED DENTISTRY IN YOUR OPINION?
Dental implant therapy. It has become a predictable and simple procedure for patients to replace missing teeth and restore their smiles and chewing function.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR ORAL SURGERY?
I think the greatest near-term advances will come via technology in areas such as surgical planning for dental implants and reconstructive surgery.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?
Getting to know my patients and helping them have a great experience with something that most of them don’t really want to do.

WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO ORAL SURGERY?
Initially, it was the breadth of surgical procedures and the anatomical region of the body that most interested me. Now, it is the interactions that I have with my patients and relationships I have with my referring doctors.

WHAT ALTERNATIVE CAREER WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Marine biology or something to do with professional cycling

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF ORAL SURGERY?
My family, my faith, and cycling
